Isle of Wight Christian Outreach Program is in need of cereal, canned soup, and canned fruit.
Donations have been down lately; please remember to shop for our neighbors in need (we’re doing great with the egg cartons and plastic/paper grocery bags!).

The C.O.P. is located at 402 Grace Street, Smithfield, VA

Volunteers are needed at COP to sort food, fill bags or deliver bags to cars.  Men are needed to pick up or deliver furniture and to unload food deliveries.  Volunteer hours are 11:00am- 1:00 pm or 1:00 - 3:00 pm, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  To volunteer go in to the office on one of those days to register with COP Coordinator, Chris Lawrence.  Thank you.  

 The C.O.P is in the process of reinstating the Vehicle Donation Program, specifically for folks who are employed but are in    need of transportation. If anyone has, or knows of a car or truck to donate, please contact us – 757-356-9267.

  1. Mail in your check to the church at: 14571 Benn's Church Blvd. Smithfield, VA 23430.
  2. Use your bank’s Bill Pay option.
  3. Use the “donate” button found on our website! 
  4. Use our Free mobile app--below are the steps to take.
    1. Download the app for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It's called Vanco Mobile Faith Engagement (the purple one)  
    2. Find our church name Benns United Methodist Church (no apostrophe in Benns), Set up you user account in minutes.
    3. Follow the easy prompts for giving.
  5. For those that would like to donate stock or capital gains from their IRA accounts, please contact the church office.

Video Recording Volunteers

We are in need of video helpers for the 9:00 service.. We are using a cell phone and a tripod, so it is easy!! If you would like to try it, call the office, 357-3373.

Offering Counters

Would you like to be an offering counter? You only are committed to one Sunday a month. Please let the office or Brita Mizelle (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) know if you would be interested. You would be paired with a partner and trained.
