WANTED – PIANIST
Job Description:
Benn’s UMC, Smithfield, is seeking a part-time Pianist to join our music staff in our God-centered, friendly congregation. The Pianist serves as one of two primary keyboard musicians. Our church home has two baby grand pianos. The successful candidate will accompany all Chancel Choir rehearsals as well as rehearsals for our Praise Band Crossroads (contemporary) Service, and two (2) Sunday morning services (Crossroads in the Family Life Center at 9am and Traditional in our Sanctuary at 11am). Additional support is expected for occasional services (Cantatas, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, etc.).
Contractual arrangements for wedding services and rehearsals and funerals are understood to be over and beyond the scope of expected responsibilities and, for this reason, to be entered into at the Pianist’s discretion.
This is a part-time, salaried position with limited benefits. Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes paid vacation, and some continuing education support.

Youth Sunday will be June 2nd
Sunday School will be held at 9:00 am, One blended service will be held at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary with a reception following in the Family Life Center immediately following the service.
